Bestowed upon an individual by the Canadian Air & Space Museum, in recognition of the person’s outstanding pioneering achievements and contributions to Canada’s and the world’s Air & Space Industry.

About the Award Designer

The award was designed by Scott Maple at Kropserkel Inc., a Markham based creative studio serving the entertainment industry and private clients with physical artefacts. The team of seasoned craftsmen, proficient in working with all forms of media, is well recognized as being leading pioneers in their respective fields.  Kropserkel works have been prominently featured in major motion pictures and television series, such as Battlestar Galactica and Resident Evil.  

With a growing reputation of producing prototypes for the replica and toy industries, Kropserkel Inc. has produced intricate and innovative pieces that have become commonplace in popular culture.  Most recently, Kropserkel Inc. has been sought after by license holders to produce one of the most iconic figures in the history of world film, the Metropolis Robot, their most ambitious project to date.

Kropserkel Inc. was honoured to be involved in the design and production of the first ever award of it's kind, The Canadian Air & Space Pioneer Award, culminating a way to bring together their craft and their deep sense of admiration for those heroes that paved the road to our skies, and beyond.
